[Hiking] Great Flats Nature Trail

A small and very easy trail with lots of wildlife around. Many different birds can be heard on the walk. There were also many different type of insects we have never seen before. I would consider this more of a short walk in a forested area than a hike.

Our Bag
This trail is short and easy. The only things needed are bug spray and sunscreen.

The Hike
The trail is flat with a few splits which either lead to a dead end or loops around. Before the split, the walking trail is wide, like an opening in a forest. We went to the right and continued on the right before we saw a swamp area. There was not much here so we turned backed and went left. There were bridges here and we saw some interesting wildlife. We could not continue right due to a large puddle (it rained the day before). We did not want to continue right since the greenery was overgrown and we did not want to get ticks. So, we went all the way back before continuing left.

This trail was much more narrow due to avoiding the overgrown greenery. We made it to a open area with a wooden board with holes to see through. There were some birds here but most of them we never saw. This is where sunscreen would be useful if it is sunny. At this point, we could feel the heat and we decided to head back.

Completion Time: ~ 1 hour (would have been less if we did not back track)

Below are the pictures of the trail (Click to enlarge)
