[Hiking] Anthony's Nose Trail

A beautiful view of the Hudson River and mountains. The hike was a bit of a workout but it was nice to be able to see the amazing view up top.

The Hike

I did not know what I was heading into when I decided to join my boyfriend and his family for this hike. The reason they chose this trail was that they  never were able to finish it many years ago. There were many people parked along the side of the road going on this hike. According to his parents it's popular around the area.

We started at the entrance where the trail looked steep going up. It was a bit of a challenge going up and we had to stop many times before making it to the area where it was flat (or flatter). From there, we walked and saw a swamp cover in green (Anthony's boogers? or at least that is what we called it). We continued a bit further and saw a split. We took the narrow path on the right and we saw a bunch of reference marks. There was a view of the Hudson River here and everything else was covered by trees. We spent a bit of time here before we went back to the split and continue on the path until we saw the other view. This view was much more wide open and had a flag. A bridge can also be seen.

Heading back down was easier for most of us. We made it down faster than we made it up. This hike is fun but remember to bring water. It is a medium difficulty hike and quite the workout.

Completion Time: 2.5 hours
