[Hiking] Christman Sanctuary

Nice sunny day for a hike.

A beautiful area with waterfalls and a good length hiking trail. There are two marked trails and they both loop in a circle. The blue trail is where the waterfalls can be seen and enjoyed. The orange trail is longer and goes through the forest.

The Hike

We went a different way going into the hike. We went a path around the area before reaching the orange trail across the rocks. There were many small trails that lead to different views. We went around the orange trail about 1 1/2 times before reaching the crossing to the blue trail. We took the blue trail out due to the possibility of rain later in the day (did not rain till much later). Also many people were entering the trail as we were leaving.

We realized we went a different way when we found the exit with the sign in box. Should have realized that sooner. We saw a few animals on our hike but not many. There were two deer that ran past in front of us. Sadly, they were too fast for a photo. I saw a chipmunk but was unable to get a good shot of it since it moved often. There were a ton of bugs on our hike. Not much water for the waterfalls but that was expected since it hasn't rained much.

We plan to come back soon to complete the path we never took.

Completion Time: less than 2 hours

Below are some pictures of our venture. (Click to enlarge)

I'm using a new camera now and so far I'm liking it. It's hard to get a nice shot sometimes due to shaking. The zoom is great for trying to get closer pictures but it can be fuzzy sometimes.

First bridge from the path on the right.

Waterfall off the side of the trail.
